Registered voters in Los Angeles County should now be receiving mailed Sample Ballot Books for the Nov.  3, 2026 General Election, LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk Dean C. Logan announced.

The Sample Ballot Book offers essential election information on candidates, measures, and secure voting options. LA County lets voters pre-mark their selections on the sample ballot and bring it to the ballot box to make voting easier.

In this year’s midterm election, California voters will elect a new governor, state assembly members and senators, U.S. representatives, and will consider 14 state propositions, among other items.

VOTING IN THE SOUTHEAST

- In Huntington Park, Measure HP addresses term limits for city council members.

- Lynwood's Measure L proposes a transient occupancy tax to be paid by hotel and motel guests.

- In South Gate, Measure SG considers an 8% utility user tax, which would have exemptions for low-income seniors and allocate the revenue to general city services.

A COUNTY MEASURE
Los Angeles County has a labor-related measure on the ballot, known as Measure A.

This measure proposes establishing a binding arbitration process to resolve specific labor disputes involving certified public safety employee organizations that represent County employees. This includes employees such as firefighters, sheriff's deputies, district attorney investigators, medical examiners, and lifeguards.
