The African American Male Wellness Agency will host the 5th Annual Black Men’s Wellness Day – Los Angeles on Sat., Nov. 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Earvin “Magic” Johnson Recreation Area.

The free, family-friendly event brings together health education, preventive screenings, fitness, entertainment and community resources in an effort to encourage Black men and families to make their health a priority. The event is open to all ages and includes free parking.

Under the message “Get Checked Out, Not Checked In,” Black Men’s Wellness Day creates an energetic community environment where participants can take meaningful steps toward better health while enjoying a day of fitness, fellowship and entertainment.

A MORNING OF HEATH, FITNESS & COMMUNITY

Attendees can participate in a variety of activities throughout the morning, including:

  • Free health screenings designed to help participants learn more about important health indicators, including blood pressure and other preventive health measures.
  • 5K Walk & Run, with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the timed run/walk scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
  • Kids Zone, featuring educational and interactive activities for young participants.
